Why you should (or try to) write everyday
Writing is a powerful tool we have to organize thoughts, learn better and share your experiences
You probably consume a lot of information every day. Waking up, you browse through your phone and check emails, scroll the twitter feed and give a look ate the latest pics from instagram, just in case you missed something while you were sleeping. So the first thing you do in the morning, just when your brain is waking up from a deep rest, is to overflow him in useless information (let’s face it, nobody remembers what you saw yesterday at Instagram)
Then you get out of bed, rush through the breakfast and get out to work. At commute, you listen to some podcast or check the news. Arriving at work, your coworker asks you some information about that 3 point task of refactoring components. Wow, it’s just so many things I really don’t know how our brain can handle all this without asking for a break. Well, maybe he is asking but we are not listening.
There are many ways you can prevent this information overflow from occuring, you can imagine some attitudes you may take and they are well know by now:
-
Don’t check emails or social media right after waking up
-
Meditate in the morning
-
Take time to have a nice breakfast to start the day with energy
But right now I want to talk about one specific action you can take that can help you going through all this: writing
Writing is a powerful tool to organize our thoughts and give our brain the right direction to take. Specialy nowadays, with so much information around us, can be hard for us to think properly and focus at the right things. That’s one of the main reasons I’m creating this blog. Moreover, I can share some interesting thoughts, document my learnings and maybe, just maybe, help someone with my words.
Don’t be afraid to put you fears, acomplishments and ideas in the paper (or screen). It will certainly help your brain to relieve some pressure, since each word, each phrase you jog down is a space in memory being free in your brain (developers, you know what I mean 😉)
So that’s my first post, and really, feels greate to have a space in the web to write. Hope to share a lot more over time, but for now, I’m out!
Wash your hands and stay safe, covid-19 is no joke. See ya!
